We are asking every family to print and practice the following flashcards with the September high frequency words.  Each child will be tested at the end of the month on their knowledge of these words.  To make the flashcards more sturdy you can glue them to cardstock, construction paper, or index cards.  You can also just copy the words onto index cards if you don't want to print this sheet.  Click on the following link to get the September flashcards.

Back to School Presentation & Homework Folder

If you missed the Kindergarten presentation, in the gym, during back to school night please read through the following power point.  It covers all of the information that we talked about in the presentation.  It has very important information for the whole school year.  If you have any questions please contact your child's teacher.  To view the power point click here.

Welcome to Kindergarten!

    Welcome to the new 2012-2013 kindergarten school year!  We are excited to start this school year and to teach your child.  We look forward to meeting each of you at your kindergarten assessment appointment.  Please be prompt as each appointment is only 30 minutes long and the assessment takes the whole time.  

     This year we will be updating the kindergarten blog with newsletters, homework, important events, and posts about our classwork.  Hope you will check often and stayed informed about what is going on in kindergarten!

There is no homework for the month of May.  Please continue to read and practice the flashcards with your child.  This will help your child to be ready for the end of year testing.  Your child will have access to Raz kids through out the summer.  Please continue to use this important reading resource, as it gives your child books on their level.  Maintaining your current reading schedule over the summer will ensure that your child stays on level for first grade!
